Music has been a Gozzo family tradition for three generations, from Ron’s grandfather accompanying silent movies on violin in the 1920’s, to his famous uncle, Conrad Gozzo, lead trumpet for such greats as Sinatra, Peggy Lee and Woody Herman.

Ron began his musical training on the piano at age 4 and by 10 began performing in classical competitions and recitals. At age 9 he was introduced to the saxophone and began studying both the jazz and classical genres.  He was awarded a full four year scholarship to the Greater Hartford Academy for the Performing Arts, and from there to William Paterson University for his Bachelors in Jazz Performance. While at William Paterson, Ron began to play at such New York jazz venues as the Village Gate, Cornelia Street Cafe, 55 Bar, and many others.  In 2000 Ron completed his Masters Degree at Brooklyn College and was employed as a Professor in the field of Jazz.  He is an adjunct professor teaching at LaGuardia College and has conducted master classes in jazz and music production at various universities throughout the US and Europe.

As a working saxophonist and leader of The Gozzo Group, Ron has toured throughout the US, Caribbean Islands, Europe, Asia and Mid-East for over 15yrs, recently finishing up a USO tour for our troops in the Mid-East.

As owner, composer, producer, arrange and music supervisor  of RGT Music Productions (2000) he has worked on national campaigns with such clients as  Mercedes-Benz, PIP Printing, Converse, Advil, Nicoderm CQ, Bayer and others.

In addition he has composed for such networks as  LOGO , Mtv, Oprah, TLC, Golf Ch, PBS, Fox Sports, AMC, CNN, NBC, CBS, A&E, ABC, Travel Ch, Discovery Ch, and Nick

Ron has composed, produced and arranged  for  Warner Chappell Music Library, APM, Carlin, Strange Cranium, Goo, SOHO/Long Lunch, Non-Stop, First Frame, Pump and Jingle Punks

He has composed for films appearing on Showtime. Sundance, and IFC Ch and has produced and written with many singer songwriters on such labels as Merge,WB, ULTRA, and Cherry Tree
